Sloane Stephens beat Venus Williams yesterday to make it to the finals of the U.S. Open.
When Stephens, now 24, was 16, she and two other tennis players spoke with Education Next about what it was like to attend a virtual high school (Florida Virtual). At the time, neither virtual schooling nor Sloane Stephens were well known.
