In the News: Lessons Learned by Taking in Refugee School Children in Florida

On the John Batchelor show, Paul E. Peterson talks about research on what happens when a school enrolls refugee students after a natural disaster, and in particular, how this affects the non-refugee children who had already been attending the school.

The study, “Influx of Haitian Refugees in Florida Didn’t Hurt Student Outcomes,” was conducted by David Figlio and Umut Ozek.

Earlier, Paul Peterson interviewed David Figlio about the research on an episode of the Education Exchange.
