Education Next and the Program on Education Policy and Governance (PEPG) at the Kennedy School at Harvard are looking for a staff assistant. This is a full-time job with benefits.
Here’s the job description:
Reporting to the Associate Director of the Program on Education Policy and Governance (PEPG), the successful candidate will also work with the PEPG Program Director and the Managing Editors of Education Next (EN) to support the program and the journal. Responsibilities include paying invoices using University online financial systems, coordinating complex mailings, obtaining and booking ads, and managing an ads database for EN. Position will assist with the update and maintenance of PEPG’s website. In addition, helps with coordinating travel, conferences, seminars, meetings and courses, preparing course materials, including editing of PowerPoint presentations. Helps prepare the annual report/newsletter for PEPG. Assists with EN journal-related projects such as stock photo searches as needed. Maintains systems to ensure efficient record keeping including managing inventory and ordering of office supplies. Handles special projects including frequent library and online searches and other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications: Experience with MS Products required including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Three years’ office or related experience preferred.
Additional Qualifications: College degree preferred. Accounting experience coupled with web applications management highly desired. The successful candidate should have the ability to work independently, possess strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills, be detail orientated and have the ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines. Should have a willingness to learn new skills.
