New York City Schools Chancellor Joel Klein announced Tuesday that he will leave his job; he will be replaced by Cathie Black, chairman of Hearst magazines. Klein has served as Schools Chancellor under Mayor Michael Bloomberg since 2002, when the mayor’s office gained control over the city’s schools.
