On June 10, the Brown Center on Education Policy at Brookings hosted a panel to discuss why it has been so hard for Congress to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and the Higher Education Act. Will this Congress finally succeed?
As the event website noted:
Expert panelists who occupied key positions as legislative staffers during previous reauthorization attempts will provide an honest examination of the process, what led to success or failure in the past, and what’s most likely to lead to success this time around.
Joining the discussion were Jason Delisle, Sarah Flanagan, Bethany Little, and Martin West. Matthew Chingos will moderate.
