    Author Bio:
    Vann W. Prime teaches Advanced Placement (AP) economics, AP European history, and international relations at Mt. Hebron High School in Howard County Public Schools in the suburban Washington, DC/Baltimore metro area. His academic background includes Masters degrees in International Affairs and International Economic Policy and Practice from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University and a Masters degree in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University. In addition to teaching, Vann coaches Mt. Hebron's National Economics Challenge team, Mock Trial team, Model United Nations (UN) team, and policy debate squad. In 2009-2011, Mt. Hebron's Economics Challenge team has been back-to-back Maryland state champions, and has finished 6th and 9th in the nation, respectively, out of 1600+ competitors. Prior to teaching in the public schools, Vann worked, among other things, as a Clandestine Intelligence Operations Officer in the Central Intelligence Agency and in the wine business both in the United States and in Europe.
