What We’re Watching: Debate Over Changes to Democratic Platform on Education

The AFT has released excerpts from a revamped version of the Democratic Party platform. Many of the changes amount to a rejection of the Obama administration’s K-12 agenda, Alyson Klein of Politics K-12 notes.

Klein writes

The AFT is really happy with the amended platform. Randi Weingarten, the union’s president, said it represents a “refreshing sea change” from past policies.
